San Diego – March, 4 2009 The CCF (CDMA Certification Forum), a global non-profit organization dedicated to establishing test efficiency to streamline time to market and minimize costs associated with CDMA device certification, announced today its 2009 Board of Directors and its new members.
The newly elected Board members are Tracy Griffin from Sierra Wireless and Dawn Saad from SGS.

Mr. Griffin is the Standards and Interoperability Lead for Sierra Wireless. He is responsible for standards representation in forums such as 3GPP2, CDG, and CCF. With 12 years of industry experience, Mr. Griffin has established leadership positions in multiple working groups within these organizations. He is also involved in product interoperability, testing, and certification. Mr. Griffin is joining the CCF as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Also joining the CCF Board of Directors is Dawn Saad. Ms. Saad is currently the Director of SGS Wireless US (West Coast Operations). SGS is a CCF AuthorizedTesting Facility. Ms. Saad has over 15 years of telecommunication industry experience including development, integration, and certification testing.

"We are delighted and honored to have Sierra Wireless represented on the Board of Directors and I personally thank Tracy Griffin for accepting the role of Vice Chairman of the Board,” says Lou LaMedica, Director of the Wireless Handset and Device Evaluation and Implementation Laboratory for Verizon Wireless and Chairman of the CCF Board of Directors. Participation of Sierra Wireless will provide guidance from the perspective of a data device vendor that will help shape the organization for the future. As for SGS, it is the first time an Authorized Testing Facility is part of the Board and their participation will be critical in representing  the testing facilities’ outlook when developing CCF’s certification initiatives. With a growing number of features added to phones each year, the need for all industry players to effectively discuss and develop certification programs has become a necessity.”

President and CEO of the CCF, Thomas Erickson, also congratulated the new Board members and expressed gratitude to all the reelected members. “The fact that most 2008 Board members accepted another nomination to the Board of Directors shows their dedication to the organization and their confidence in the CCF’s mission for 2009. I also want to thank the membership for reelecting these Directors and demonstrating their faith in the CCF management team”.
